Abstract

Amid the complex social and economic environment, motivation in entrepreneurs is vital. Thus, this study aims to analyze motivation as an essential element in entrepreneurship in the city of Victoria de Durango, Dgo. A quantitative method with a cross-sectional scope and a questionnaire were used. The study employed a non-probabilistic convenience sampling, considering the characteristics of the sample, which was determined following the inclusion criterion which is entrepreneurship from the city of Victoria de Durango. A total of 100 entrepreneurs from a population of 134 were studied. The findings of the study showed that motivation has a significant impact on entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurial motivation guarantees the success of entrepreneurship, that is, if entrepreneurs are motivated, it will be much easier to face the challenges of carrying out the entrepreneurial activity.
